Mark Summers, is the public historian for the Jamestown Rediscovery archaeology project. As an historian on the archaeology team, Mark not only examines documents for context, but writes publications, exhibition scripts, and walking tours about historical and archaeological topics. He regularly lectures about Jamestown to the  public, and has appeared on many media sites including the Washington Post, Associated Press, National Geographic, and PBS.  He received an MA in history from Virginia Tech iand a BA in history from the University of Mississippi.
